You know what I hadn't done in a LONG time? Test animations. I was going through them because I feel like I got stuck and just wasn't improving, and I realize I just wasn't experimenting as much as I used to.
Played some random music and just animated with the feel of the music even if the genre changed.
The background spin could be better, but it was a nice exercise overall. (Especially the eyeball thing).
Haha as soon as I saw the eyeball thing I was thinking Mega Man. And then the last part affirmed my suspicion
The one part that could use some tweaking is when it flies away from the guy, he doesn't look like he's trying to reach for it (actually it looks more like he's waving it goodbye ) Perhaps give him a bit of a startled pose first, then a wind-up before making a determined reach, with the eyeball thing ducking and weaving away.
The camera spin was nice; almost like it was the POV of the ill-fated bot.
so, wait, the little flying eye was destroyed? also, i don't know if it's my computer or not, but the animation seems to be going really slow.... still, it's really good though.

Yeah, you're absolutely right. I'll play around with it next time I pick it up, thanks a lot for the suggestion.

Weird o_o Should work just fine. Maybe if I post the .mov version on tumblr or something...
